Know what OSHA's record says about you — before a GC looks it up.
General contractors and insurers pull your OSHA history during prequalification. You are the subject of that search and usually the last to see it. Enter a company name and read the same public record they will.
What a GC sees when they prequalify you
Inspection count, how many were complaint- or accident-driven rather than routine, violations cited, and how recent it all is. Pulled from OSHA's own index, with a link to every source record.
Every deduction is named
No black-box grade. Each point comes off for a stated reason you can read, check against OSHA, and explain to a reviewer who asks.
It scores your record, not your future
No predicted risk, no likelihood score. OSHA's data says what already happened; guessing forward from it would need exposure hours we don't have, so we don't pretend.
Honest limits
- Name matching is OSHA's. Their index stores the name an inspector typed, so a different legal or DBA spelling can hide records. A clean result means clean under that spelling — try alternates before trusting it.
- OSHA's search is slow. About 30 seconds per 20 inspections. Large national contractors take a few minutes, and if we stop early the report says so rather than passing a partial record off as complete.
- State-plan states differ. Roughly half the states run their own OSHA-approved programs, and coverage in the federal index varies. Verify locally for those.
